-
1/2 cup popcorn

-
Coconut oil (optional)

The Theater II popcorn popper, manufactured by Schneider, is a hand-cranked, stove-top popcorn maker. It is an easy-to-operate, simply designed device, and the crank, located on the top of the popper, stirs the kernels while cooking to ensure thorough popping. The Theater II popcorn popper is designed to reach temperatures up to 475 degrees F.
Step 1
Add 5 tbsp. of canola oil to the Theater II popcorn maker. Alternatively, you can use 4 tbsp. of coconut oil.
Step 2
Turn the stove burner on to medium high. Allow the oil to heat slightly before adding popcorn.
Step 3
Add 1/2 cup of popcorn kernels and pop for approximately three minutes, cranking the handle continuously while cooking. This yields 12 cups when popped.
Step 4
Pour the popped corn into a serving bowl and season it. Some seasoning ideas include salt, butter flavoring, cinnamon, or powdered cheddar cheese. Season to your own tastes.
