Vodka Infused Fruit Salad Recipe

When it comes to summer entertaining, easy is the name of the game. More often than not, alcohol is also a fun part of the equation! This vodka-infused fruit salad is a simple, crowd pleasing treat that can be easily brought along to potlucks, and it can be served at both indoor and outdoor events. It works as a small bite or even as a dessert. People go nuts for it! Best of all, it's an incredibly flexible recipe that comes together with very little effort.

Things You’ll Need

Step 1: Gather Your Ingredients

Aim for approximately 4 cups of fruit, but this recipe is very flexible in terms of ratios and which fruits will work. Melons are a great option (watermelon, honeydew melon, cantaloupe). Berries and stone fruit are also a great option, as long as you slice the fruit so that the vodka can easily bypass the skins. For a beautiful fruit salad, choose a variety of colors. You can also save time by purchasing precut fruit. You will need enough vodka to cover the fruit, so the quantity needed will depend on the size and shape of the bowl.

Step 2: Place the Fruit in a Large Bowl

If precut fruit was purchased, you can trim the pieces to similar sizes.

Step 3: Cover the Fruit with Vodka, Cover, and Chill

Completely submerge the fruit with vodka. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and place in the refrigerator for a minimum of two hours or overnight.

Step 4: Drain Fruit Through a Fine-mesh Strainer

The leftover vodka can be reserved for fruity cocktails! Place the fruit into a serving bowl. Use toothpicks so guests can easily enjoy this festive treat.
